CLINICAL INTERESTS & EXPERTISE
Dr. Thomas is currently working on a book, Dynamic Maps: The Architecture of Inspired Lives. Through CT Consulting, he provides coaching for individuals and groups interested in staying focused on the work they find the most inspiring and developing the expertise to be successful at it.
Dr. Thomas' has previously focused on treatment of anxiety disorders, depression, interpersonal relationships, and the development of personal values guiding life choices. He has worked with groups, couples, families, and individuals.

TEACHING
Dr. Thomas supervises and teaches psychiatry evidence-based treatments, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, to residents at UCSF. He has previously supervised psychology interns at California Pacific Medical Center, and he has taught graduate and undergraduate psychology courses at the University of Virginia.
