Dr. Gapinski has a strong training background in cognitive-behavioral therapy and dialectical behavior therapy. She is also interested in principles of acceptance and commitment therapy and emotionally focused couples therapy.

TEACHING
Dr. Gapinski has taught undergraduate psychology courses at Yale University, San Francisco State University, and UC Berkeley Extension. She has facilitated support groups for medical residents at UCSF, and has been involved in training Stanford University medical residents in the treatment of social anxiety. Since 2005, she has been an adjunct faculty member at the University of San Francisco, where she often teaches courses on the psychology of gender and the psychology of sexuality.
